Michael Albertson brings over 40 years of leadership and expertise in renewable thermal energy to SHARC Energy, where he serves as President & CEO of SHARC Energy.
Prior to joining SHARC Energy, Albertson was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at WaterFurnace International, Inc., where he oversaw the successful development and implementation of geothermal systems globally. His career includes extensive experience in designing, selling, and managing large-scale renewable energy projects, including thousands of geothermal and district energy systems. Albertson has also held leadership roles in commercial geothermal sales, branding, and customer engagement with major manufacturers of water-source heat pumps.
In addition to his corporate accomplishments, Albertson has a deep history of industry advocacy and thought leadership. He is a former Chairman of the Board for the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) and a past board member of the GeoExchange Organization (GEO). Albertson’s contributions include lobbying for critical federal tax incentives that have bolstered the geothermal sector, including provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act that ensure long-term support for sustainable energy technologies.

His leadership enhances SHARC Energy’s ability to deliver cutting-edge WET solutions that recover and recycle thermal energy from wastewater, reducing carbon emissions and operating costs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
